They took their time and we really felt that we learned alot. "On May 2, I took the Lost Coast and the North Shore tours - guided by Alex. I thoroughly enjoyed myself the entire day. I was able to see a lot more of the island than I thought in such a limited amount of time there in Oahu. Alex was fun to listen to, eductated us on more history and culture than I had anticipated - and just had a wonderful spirit about him making for a fantastic tour! "My wife and I signed up aboard the Pride of Aloha to go on the North Shore excursion yesterday, basically to kill a bit of time before our flight back to Texas. We were really rewarded with a wonderful 6 hours seeing many delightful sights, and being taught by a master teacher, Jess. He was so warm and personable, a real delight as a tour guide. (We had four others during the course of this cruise, and none came close to Jess' ability to weave wonder into the subject matter.) His enthusiasm for conservation, his understanding of the geology of the islands, his clear infatuation with the flora and fauna of Oahu, gave him credibility with the group, but his interpersonal style (including some riddles and jokes) and his ability to relate to some serioously OLD folks, gave Sandra and me a great lift for the day. I always feel justified in complaining when I feel service is NOT up to par, but I also feel strongly that managers need to know when one of their people do a superior job. Jess did! Respectfully,"

"Aloha! My husband and I went on two of your Nature Tours on our recent trip to Oahu (April 4th) and wanted to tell you "they were the best." We took two tours in one day, starting with the hike to Diamond Head. We forget the young guides name, but sending a picture of her. She was so much fun and enthusiastic. She started off by "remembering all of our names and where we were from". That was amazing and that is why we feel bad we can't remember hers!!! She was very patient with the slower hikers and encouraged everyone to keep going. What a wonderful accomplishment for us all. She filled us up full with lots of interesting information about Diamond Head and the island in general. I still remember lots of things both she and the other guide us.
The second tour was Around the Island tour with Sam. We don't know why we don't have a picture of him, but he was very good also. He did the name and where we were all from, thing too. That is such a nice ice breaker for all of us and, I am sure, a policy of your tours, but a real plus to the tour experience. Sam did an outstanding job of showing us around the island and sharing many interesting tidbits of local information. He loves his Hawaii. We thought these two tours made our Hawaiian experience great! "

"Aloha Michael, We had such wonderful comments on the North Shore tour for the Ryndam I just had to share them with you! :o) Our shore excursion today was excellent. We received only positive praise for the trip. Many said it was the best shore excursion they had ever had. It was a great day! We did see one large green sea turtle right up on the beach. We were able to get within three feet of him. The guide was just great. John was friendly, told great jokes and stories, spoke loudly and was loaded with interesting information. He did not rush us, even though we went over the scheduled time. Still continue to get rave reviews of him and the itinerary. It was an excellent excursion. They enjoyed every stop. The beaches, temple and Dole pineapple were all rated extremely well. Thank you for a job well done!"
