Albatross Colony

While visiting Kauai, we accompanied Brenda Zaun, a United Stated Fish and Wildlife biologist, to a colony of nesting Laysan Albatross.
In the following photographs, Michael is seen assisting Brenda in placing bands on an albatross and observing the remains of another albatross that was preyed upon by a rare visitor to our our islands, a White-tailed Eagle.
