Oahu Nature Tours was founded in October, 1997 by Michael Walther. Born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Los Angeles, California, he first visited Hawaii in December 1972 for several months.
I've always been one to explore every mountain, forest, and hillside around me. It's a little more then curiosity it's a fascination with the outdoors. My studies in geology, geography and ethnobotany fit in well with guiding people around Oahu... 
Hello, my name is Joseph. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Coming from an area rich in mountains and evergreens, I developed an interest in my surroundings at a young age. Audubon books filled my shelves.
Mike was born on the island of Oahu in the then Territory of Hawaii. He spent a part of his youth on Oahu and a part on Okinawa, Japan. Growing up on warm subtropical islands, the outdoors became his playground and he developed a great love and interest in the natural world.
Growing up in Olympia, Washington Mee-Na decided to further herself in higher education at The Evergreen State College. There she has completed her Bachelor of Art and will return in Fall 2004 to finish up her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Neuroscience...

Rodolf has always had a fascination with nature and science. He is pursuing a PhD in marine biology, currently conducting research on coral reef ecology at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology...
He is a member of the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club, the Sierra Club and performs service projects for them. He clears trails for the HTMC, SC, The Nature Conservancy, Audubon's, and other groups. He also does Search and Rescue when needed...
I have been a nature lover since childhood and became an Eagle Scout while backpacking and camping throughout California and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Once here, my love for nature continued and I also became caught up in the study of the Pacific Islands, earning a B.A. from the University of Hawaii.
Oahu Nature Tour's guide Bob Kern has been fascinated by nature all his life. Bob has been active in conservation activities in Hawaii. He is a volunteer at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Hanauma Bay.
Michael "Sky" Chamberlain, began his life "on the road" with parents of the Sixties generation. He was born in the small Canadian/Indian village of Bella Coola, British Columbia and his early travels took him through out the Western United States in the family's camper, a converted milk delivery truck.
Stan has a long family history in the islands. His Grandfather came to the islands on a ship in 1933 to intern at Queens Hospital. His Mother was born in the sleepy plantation town of Paia Maui.

Jeanette is a well experienced Mountaineer to include Alpine, Rock, and Glacier climbing. As a Certified Instructor / Instructor Trainer with the American Red Cross she now teaches guides at Oahu Nature Tours life saving skills and certifies them in American Red Cross Training Programs.
